I grew up a block away from the back entrance to the Los Angeles County Arboretum and I visited it often as a child. I always loved the Queen Anne cottage and its carriage house and gardens. I took these photos a couple of years ago when, as an adult, I went back to visit the arboretum. Aren't the flowers gorgeous? Today's Flowers for Sunday, September 6, 2009.

Yes the flowers are gorgeous. I visited here last fall for the first time. It was a wonderful and hot day.
