Orange flowers~Today's Flowers 061310

These flowers are growing in our daughter's neighborhood and yesterday I was able to finally take a photo of them. I don't know the name of them, but butterflies seem to like them! Today's Flowers for June 13, 2010.

very pretty, they remind me of my lantana just a different color.

Wow, and I was going to suggest lantana! Some of ours are orange/yellow/red, but ours in the front are YELLOW! Lovely photo!

I took that with my Nikon and my new lens! It's a TAMRON 18-200 mm.

Vibrant color. I've seen these same ones with a red coloring though I do not know they're name. Very pretty.

I know these because lantana has become a big problem in Australia, it is strangling all the Australian bush. You see it completely lining the roadsides and it's now impossible to walking thru the bush in area because it is so think and his a tiny thorn that scraps. You may want to keep an eye on the plant, it is very hard to remove once it has overtaken. that being said the flowers are adorable.

How lovely, so sunny and bright, they would make anyone smile. I enlarged them to see more of the detail. A beautiful sharp photo, thank you for sharing.

Lantanas are pretty in flower, the butterflies love them, in a number of states in Australia they are a gazetted noxious weed and in my garden they just refuse to grow.
