"M" is for...

mammoth sunflowers! And, yes, these are mammoth! They now tower over our 6 foot fence! Birds love them and people in cars and walking by stop to admire them. It's the first time in 35 years that I've actually had a crop of sunflowers that not only have sprouted, but grown! Mammoth, monstrous, magnificent...all these words describe them! I enjoy seeing their bright color every morning, although this morning they are a bit frazzled by our high winds last night. ABC Wednesday for April 15, 2009. Enjoy your day!

Mammoth for sure. Glad they grew for you. Nice post for the letter M.

Looking at the photos, I wondered where the M would come in. Those are indeed magnificent! I love the sound of birds singing on this blog.

Beautiful sunflowers! I've never been able to grow them very big at all!

Someone mentioned birdsong - I keep my speakers off when browsing because I hate hearing other people's music blaring out unexpectedly, but I put them on to listen. Sure enough, because I browse with many tabs open, I was greeted with a cacophony of music from several sites. Can't hear the birds, sadly, and it would take a while to isolate them. I'll try to come back.

Meanwhile, on behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week! :)
